Military Museum of the Legion

The military Museum of the Legion created in 1940 to honour the Spanish Legion. The Legion and its museum moved to Ceuta in 1956 when Morocco won independence from Spain. In the beginning the museum turned into a small room of the barracks of the 2nd Regiment of the Legion in Dar-Riffien. Upon the Moroccan independence, the museum moved to the Barracks of El Serrallo however a reason constructed building turned into constructed in 1978 on the Paseo de Colón.

The collection on display throughout their 4 rooms, offers a glimpse of the tokens, symbols and exploits of the Spanish Legion. It consists of navy medals, photos, documents, guns, pennants, scripts, and over hundred decorations offered to participants of this unit, with a short description of their recipients and the deeds that merited them.
